The safety of national carrier networks with the advantages of a Self-funded health plan:
- Return of unused claims funds

- National networks
Major Networks plus Major Savings
A FRANplan self-funded plan leases a national medical network so you and your employees can access the same doctors and hospitals as a fully insured health plan.

How self-funding works
Level Funding
Your contribution to the claims account does not increase for a full year as long as there are no changes in enrollment. This is known as level funding.
Stop Loss
If your group’s claims are higher than expected, stop- loss insurance protects your business. There is no further funding required.
Administration
All day-to-day administration of your self-funded plan including claims processing and customer service is taken care of for you.
Refund Potential
If your group’s claims are lower than expected, you may get a refund of a portion of the difference at the end of the plan year. About 60% of our groups receive a refund.
One Monthly Payment
One predictable monthly payment that is split three ways:
- Claims funding
- Administration
- Stop loss premium
Customized Plan Design
- Flexible deductible
- Coinsurance from 50% to 100%
- First-dollar coverage for preventive care
- HSA options
